You could try a salty water rinse, cuts down on bacteria growth. And drink more water daily, do you drink much water?

Oral thrush should be treated. If it recurs, your doctor is required [a] to determine if there is a serious underlying condition and [b] prevent it from spreading to other parts of the body. This is according to the article at this link:
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000966.htm
Bacteria - thrush is usually kept in check by a specific bacteria that is normally found in the mouth. This means that if you take antibiotics or use an antibiotic mouth rinse, the thrush infection could spread.
Sugars [carbs] increase the rate of growth of fungal infections. This is why diabetics often get thrush.

I took swish and swallow thrush med. and no sugars. Wash your hands good after messing anywhere near your mouth so you don't transfer it to other places or people. Salt water rinses felt really good in between the med.
