Ok i've been dating the same girl for two years. Shes 19 i'm 24. Things were going great accept recently she wants to have her space. So we've split up for 6 months and we ll get back together then and see how things are. I love her and she loves me but she is not ready for a long term commitment. Can anyone justify this for me, and let me know if 6 months is reasonable, to long, too short.....

THx in advance

I'd guess this is her way of saying it's over....

6 months seems like a really long time for "space." it seems, yes, she probably wants to break up. you are both so young and have a lot ahead of you, committment can be very difficult. talk to her seriously about how she feels, and if it is really a breakup that she wants, well, move on. you have a whole world to explore. :) good luck!

6 months is a long time for "space". It sounds to me like she wants you to wait for her while she goes and sees if there's anything out there better.

She's young and there's a whole world out there she's never explored especially with being tied down for 2 years. Some people just need to experience things before they'll settle down. She might feel like you are ready for the "M" word and she doesn't want to make that big of a committment yet.

Give her the space she wants and you need to "explore" and find out if there's anything out there better for you (whether you think she's the "one" or not - go explore your options). Don't sit and do nothing for 6 months. That's to long to wait for something that may be there or not.

goodluck!
