Okay I just found out I have a fibroid in my uterus the size of an orange. Yipee. So, wondering if anyone has had one, and if you;ve had a hysterectomy. Seriously considering it. I'm premenopausal at age 42. Thinking how recovery is, and pain.

I had one the size of a grapefruit, but just had it removed. My mother had lots of problems with hormone replacement after a hysterectomy, so even with improvements in the hormone, we weren't anxious to go that route.
