I have a knot in the bottom of my foot. I had a tumor removed when was younger. I just assume it is another but when I went to the doctor he said he does not think that is what it is. He said to get an MRI done. I thought they were only for the head. Can anyone explain this?

MRI are done on all parts of the body. You just hear it used mostly for head type of things. They did one on my husband to be sure he didn't have a physical cause for his tinnitus and my dad had one done to check for prostate cancer so as you can see it is used for many things. Get the test done so the doc can see what is going on with your foot.

I have the MRI scheduled for tuesday of next week. My insurance will pay for everything but the $15 copay so that is not bad. I just never heard of the MRI for anything but for the head. I know they will see something just a matter of what the will do next. THank you for your responce. It helped alot.
