Okay this might sound rediculous but it's worth a try... I was wondering if there's any kind of vitamin or any drug that will stunt your growth? I'm like 5"8' and growing.... I'm taller than like everybody and I'm only 15.. Being a tall female sux... I'm like an inch shorter than my boyfriend... I can't grow anymore... I don't wanna be taller than him :( Can anybody help?

I am not aware of any meds that will stunt your growth. And, at this stage in your life trying to do so is not advised. I do understand the frustration you are feeling as we have a 12 year old girl that currently stands 5'7" tall.
The good thing for you is the fact that girls stop growing at a younger age than guys do. Chances are, your boyfriend will continue to grow as well. As for your height...try not to focus on the downside of it. Try to find the positives of being a taller female. Many guys out there find a tall female to be very attractive.
I know that it is hard to think on that level at this time, but there really isn't much you can do about it. Enjoy the fact that you have yet another attribute that contributes to you being unique.

Hi studcake, I feel for you. I'm 25 and I'm about 5'9". When I was your age I really hated being tall. I got teased alot and people to this day still bug me about being tall. I don't think there are any kind of meds that will stunt your growth. Sometimes I wish there were. Being tall can suck sometimes. I don't like being taller than some men. Do you get teased alot about your height? Do people ever ask you do you play basketball? I get that alot.
I think I was 5'7" when I was 12.

My friend is 5'9 and so am I and she told me that no one dated tall girls in her high school in Minnesota and that they got made fun of. She wishes she was 5'6 to this day even though no one says a thing bad about her height anymore. And now I am hearing it on the forums too. I think this is so strange because I not even once got made fun of for my height and I had lots of dates. In grade school I was the tallest out of everyone except one other girl that was a smidgen taller than me. Neither of us got made fun of. Actually, she bragged about being the tallest in the class. This is probably why I don't mind being 5'9 at all. My sister is 5'9 too and never in her life got made fun of it for it. Actually I notice lots of girls that are just as tall if not taller. Is it that Wisconsin just has a lot more tall women than in any other state so it is acceptable here?

Actually most men find tall woman more sexy than shorter woman. The only time it's generally a problem is if you are taller than the man you're seeing then insecurity can get in the way of the relationship. Most of the time that's not the case except when you're younger. Don't worry, be sexy :)

Taller = Thinner. Count yourself lucky to not be overweight. At one time or another most women on the planet agnonize about being overweight. You are free from that worry!

Being a tall women isnt a bad thing. When I was 12 I was 6 foot 6. Since I am a man maybe its easier? Not.
Funny most guys I know are very attracted to tall women. My niece is 6 foot 1. She married a guy shorter then her. They dont have any problems. Just embrace your height. Most models are very tall. You
are most likly very pretty and the height just makes
that stand out even more. So enjoy it and dont let ruin any more time in your life, because life is too short as it is. So enjoy. Mike

I'm 5'10 and a girl! I love it, the only down side is being with short guys, lol. You can reach higher things, eat more (well I can anyway), have longer legs and all that. Don't try and do anything dramatic, just love yourself and accept your height. When I was 15, I was 5'9, and lots of people at my school were too. Try not to worry about it!

i'm a man , so im not sure if my advise is usefull for you. When i was at your age, i was concerned about my height i was 6 ft. tall. so what i did is, i joined a heavy lifting club. i was lifting weights for a while, now i'm 25 years old and my height is 6 ft. 2 inches
I believe that sports can play a factor in your height when you growing up.

I remeber when I was in 8th grade I went to a Catholic school and rode a small bus. I was very tall and couldn't even stand inside the bus. I had to duck my head when I got on the bus every day. Also people called me big girl, too tall, etc. That was one thing I didn't like about being tall, getting teased about it and having to duck my head.

I am 24 and 5'9. I like being tall. I feel confident about my height, and I don't really worry about it. It all comes from inside. At one point I was overweight, and I did not even think about it until I lost weight. Even when I was overweight, I still felt good about my appearance. It all comes from inside. You gotta work whatcha got!

I am new to board, but had to reply to this one. I am female and 5'11" and love it now. Of course in school it was harder, but as we mature the height thing doesn't seem so important. Besides that not too many girls can look "down" their noses at you, ;)
Now finding jeans is a whole other story. LOL

Can't really complain too much about being tall while back I did fell down in the dumps about myself since I was going through something bad. People here helped me accept myself for who I am. I guess there's nothing wrong with being tall, just finding shoes that fit is a pain.

i used to hate being so short...i mean, imagine being denied cigarettes because the clerk thinks you have a fake id, cops stopping you all the time for curfew, and people giving you dirty looks when you carry your child cause they think your only 14...but i don't care anymore...these people don't know me...my husband made me realize i was unique and beautiful...now, i'm comfortable with being short and can joke about it...
