O.k. I just found this site today. So here is my story and question, maybe you can help me. It may be a bit long but please bear with me. I am 27 yrs. old. In February of 2000 I had my tubes tied after our second child. Then July of 2002, I was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy. They gave me methotrexate to dissolve this pregnancy. This was on July 1st. At this time, I had no pain whatsoever only spotting after my period. That's what prompted my Dr's visit. They told me it could take up to 4 weeks for the pregnancy to dissolve. Also that until it was dissolved I had to see them once a week to make sure things were going o.k. On August 5th, I started having excruciating pain in my lower right stomach. They tested me and I still had elevated levels of BHCG, the pregnancy hormone, and a 3X5 "mass" or "cyst" as they so mildly put it in my right fallopian tube. Being military, I was going to a military hospital so you don't always get the same doc you had the previous time. Well, this doc decided to put me in the hospital for surgery to remove one if not both of my tubes. I get checked in and the docs on call to do the actual surgery decided to just observe me over night and sent me home the next day. I returned to the doc several times that week begging them to "fix me" that I had 2 kids that needed me and I couldn't do much for them with my condition. Finally on August 14th, they admitted me into the hospital and done the surgery. They removed both of my fallopian tubes. After surgery, the doc said that my right fallopian tube had burst recently and rehealed itself then busted again when they "opened me up". Since then, I have had on and off pain in my lower stomach, especailly my right side. I have worse periods than I ever had before. When I have my period, it feels like a cross between menopause and labor pains. It was never like this before. Also the new complaints, which really scare me because other than my pregnancies, I have NEVER been irregular, are spotting between periods and severe nausea and dizziness. Can someone help me please? Has anyone else ever had these problems and if so what was done for them?

I just got out of the military a year ago, so I know what you mean about seeing different docs. In April this yr I had my 3rd ectopic. They said I was ruptured and had some internal bleeding and decided to take me into surgery. In the process they had to remove my left tube because it was so damaged and they tied my right tube to prevent another ectopic. Let me just say the pain I've experienced on the left side since they removed the tube has been so bad sometimes I think I'm gonna pass out. I discussed this with my doc and she said to get use to it cause it was probably scar tissue and it will not get any better. Around the time of my cycle it is worse than ever. I haven't had any spotting, but I have had nausea and dizziness, along with extreme anxiety. I have pending hormone levels (progesterone and estrogen) because they think that's what is causing my problem. Talk to your doc and make sure it isn't anything more serious going on.
I hope this helps a little!!

Thanks for your info. It was a relief to know that I am not the only one to go through this. I do have another doctor appt. in the morning and plan on making sure they check me out thoroughly before I leave just to be on the safe side.
