Hey my name is Heather, I am 15 years old.
I have a mole under my right arm. I was wondering. I know that there are treatments to get them removed, but are there ways to remove them yourself. Someone told me to put tape over it and rip it off, but that doesn't seem right. Then someone told me that I can always hold an ice cube over it for awhile and freeze it. And then cut it off myself. Can I do that. Would it hurt me at all. I would like to try, but I am to afraid, it might make it worse. I just joined the bored and it is great. You guys are very helpful. Thank you.

I would strongly advise you not to do it yourself. For starters you probably won't get rid of it, and then you might do a lot of damage.

Go to your local doctor and get them to take it off. If it's a flat mole they'll probably have to cut it out and put a couple of stitches in but with some others they can be frozen off - they use a special liquid that freezes it and it drops off in a week or so.

Moles are cut off and the area is stiched as the previous poster mentioned. You need to see your doc to have this done. Once the mole is removed the doc will send it to the lab just to be sure it wasn't cancerous.
