Firstly I have no Idea which forum this needs to be posted in so ive started off here.
Hello. I will try & add as much information as possible to this post but im generally after some advive as to which step to take next.
About 12 months ago I started getting weakness on the lefthand side of my head/face like a tighness but still had full feeling in it. I didn't get headaches as such but had localised pains around certain area's of my head. At first I just didnt worry about it as it wasnt actually causing me any problems phsically or mentally. 2-3 months down the line I started getting strange sensations in my left leg & arms (basically left side of body) it felt/feels kind of like there not attached to my body to the extent where walking feels weird as in ive got a physical problem with my leg but I know I havent. I do however play golf regularly and it has not really effected my game so im not to sure how serious this is. All that worries me is that these symptoms have come along gradually got worse & not gone away. My latest symptom (which is what bothers me the greatest) is that I slurr my speech quite often now & its got to such an extent where I really have to concentrate not to embaress myself, & to the point where I just wont make conversation anymore unless I have too. I thought at first it could be nerve's but It happens infront of friends and family. Speech is also worse after activity i.e. getting the heart rate up as I really have to concentrate to not speak spam. This can also lead to the localised pain around the top of my head.
In the past 12 months ive been to the doctors 4/5 times with it & had a neurological examination by a neurologist. The neurologist said my exam was fine & did not require further tests i.e. CT, MRI.My GP seems to think I have TN (trigmenial neuralgia spl?) which id be happy to accept if it were not for my other symptoms.
My question now is where do I go from here as its affecting my life to a certain degree & I would like to be able to do something about it?
My general stats are:
Im 25 years of age.
Good health & fitness with mo major health problems previously.
5'11" & 80Kg.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Luke

Since you are still having problems you need to go back to the neurologist and have them check deeper due to your increased symptoms. Your doc cannot know that you are having more problems if you don't tell him. He will most likely want to do more tests to find out what is causing your other symptoms. Call and make an appointment to let him know about your new symptoms.

Have you had tests for multiple sclerosis?
