Ive got a bad back( disc problems) to avoid surgery I take Anti inflamatory.. I lift weights 3 times a week, I use different supplements( legal pro steroid types andro stuff) I also take a allergy pill everyday. I usually take unisom (sleeping aid) at nights.

Does anyone know if this will tear your stomach up or cause any type of problems takeing these different types of pills together.(at different times of the day of course mostly with food and water) Is their any danger here? any info appreciated.

Pharmacists are the best people to ask.

But there are sites that have databases about drug/supplement interactions . . . like one major medical site that advertises on television a lot.

Hi

I also take a lot of different medications with supplements for my back problems and pain. NSAID's pain meds, sleeping aid, OTC energy pills and drinks. I would ask your doctor or pharmacist and make sure your clear. I always ask my pharmacist when I pick up something, they look in the computer and see what I am taking and let me know if it's okay to take whatever I am picking up or purchasing.

Also NSAID always have a risk of harming your stomach over time. They always add that in their side effects..

I sometimes get a little upset even though I take them with milk or food and lot's of water

The first thing you definately need to do is to let your doctor know what all you are taking so that he can help you determine if it is safe to take all of your supplements together plus to be sure he gets all of this information entered into your chart for future reference.
The anti-inflammatory drugs are very hard on the stomach so be sure you take them with food and if you start feeling any stomach discomfort at all from the meds due to long term use you will need to quit taking them. Also you would be wise to check with an orthopedic doc about your disc problem since there are newer non surgical ways to treat disc problems now and they may be able to help you without surgery. Even if you have seen an orthopedic doc in the past if it has been more than a couple of years ago see them again to see what help is available.
