If you could start back again when you were 20 and redo things, what would you change? What ways you would change your life in order to be healthier now and feel and look younger????

Kre 07-15-2003, 01:19 PM Think I would have chosen foods closer to the Sugar Busters or similar diets in order to not gain weight thru the years. Avoided junk foods, less fats, less starch carbohydrates. Exercise, most definitely, that which I have never enjoyed. Definitely spend more time with God than time with earthly matters. A closer walk with Jesus goes a long ways in what or how you look later on. Liv 08-30-2003, 04:22 AM Such a good question! I am 32 now and if I had the chance to be 20 again I would: 1. I would have slept a heck of a lot less (due to depression and health problem). 2. I would have battled depression with my own mind, not taking the diagnosis as "gospel" and not taken medication. That's me. [This message has been edited by Liv (edited 09-01-2003).] BibiGirl 08-31-2003, 06:42 PM I would have quit smoking way back then, now its way too hard. I would have tried to find ways to eliminate stress (had no home computer back then)these boards are very helpfull. Now I believe I should never look back, just get on with it!, sometimes though, the past creeps in, just gotta push it aside & carry on. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/bouncing.gif angelique 10-21-2003, 06:46 PM I am 33 and have had a wonderful timein my life, even though i have never really had security. I would never have smoked i have quit this last year after nearly 16 years of it. Never drank so much alchol, morewater. Looked after my skin better, never been so vein as to wear make up even in the day time infact probably never worn foundation at all. Gotten used to amore healthy diet. Kept my face out of the sun. Would have done a degree, probably to become something which could always provide a good living for me even though it may not be my chosen path. Travel when ever the chance arises. Read more, it keeps the brain active. I already exercise,as i have always loved to dance but if you don't i suggest that you doand find something that makes you feel freedom in doing so, most of us can find something to do that is active and fun.Try to always think positively stress makes life harder, theres always someone worse off is a better attitude so as my grandmother would say count your blessings, she once also said that the only thing she regretted was that she didn't take care to dry between her toes, but not quite sure what that was about :0) HalinaGold 10-22-2003, 07:22 PM ...Approached people and life with much greater trust... they deserve it! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif ------------------ Halina |
