I have a lump in my throat (left side) I think it could be a swollen lymphnode. Also, a very soar throat on that same side. It hurts to swallow and sometimes to talk. This makes me feel just crappy ALL the time. I was sick like this two weeks ago w/ high fever but it lasted only 2 days. Now, it's back again just w/out the fever. What could this be???? I'm worried!

You should get this checked out by a doctor. I have a lump in my throat near my tonsil but it doesn't hurt. The doctor's say it's nothing. But if you're having pain and had a fever, you probably have an infection of some kind. Take care!

I just ate dinner and I couldn't swallow my food. It kept getting caught in my throat and I would choke. I'm really getting worried but I can't just yet go to the doctor because my insurance just cancelled me! I mean if it's just a cold I can ride it out but does anyone know what it might be?

Sounds like you just have a sore throat - part of a cold. Your lymph node is working double time to fight the infection and therefore it is swollen. Go to your local drugstore and get some medication for colds and sore throats. Take a lot of vitamin C.
If the lymph node becomes larger than an inch in size and your throat doesn't get better within a week, I am afraid that you will have to go visit a doctor. They are expensive, but good health is worth more than any amount of money.
Instead of eating dry foods, try liquids and soup.

Well, I just got back from the doctors. He said it was just an infection on that side of my throat. He could see pockets. Actually, I was not satisfied. I feel like a hypocondriach because he actually downplayed the whole thing. He maybe me take a pregnancy test when I told him that there was NO way. That added an extra 30 something dollars to the whole bill. It was uncessary. He prescribed tylenol 3 and amoxicillin. :( I still feel like crap! Well, thanks for asking about me!
