I was recently wrestling around with one of my roommates and he punched me in the throat at one point. The side of my throat has been hurting for over a week now. I'm starting to wonder if this is normal! How long does it take for a throat to heal???

There are lots of muscles, ligaments, cartilage, various tubes and bones in your throat area so it's not surprising that it hurts. It's definitely a dangerous area to be punched in. The soreness may go away on its own but you should probably see a doc, just to be on the safe side.

Wow some friend. That hurts just thinking about it.

I agree with the post above. If it does not get any better go see a dr..

P:S I would find a new wrestling partner. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dizzy.gif
