Did you take your PSAT's last year???? Are you a 4.0 or higher? Were you in Honors classes? Are you going to graduate in the top 10% of your high school class? How much college credit do you have so far? Have you started applying for scholarships?

If you have answered no to any of these questions get yourself to a high school counseler for advice quickly. The SATs are VERY important. You better hurry you have already missed two deadlines for the test dates. The next deadline is Oct 30th for the Dec 8 test.

Sorry to bombard you, but I think that if that is what you want to do you have to jump in with gusto and go....becoming a doctor is all-consuming.
Good Luck

I found a great site that could start you on your way. Type in SAT and you will get a site called collegeboard. (we are not allowed to post links)
Click on Plan for College and you will find a section of what to do for Juniors.
I hope this gets you on your way...

I think it is excellent that you are asking how to get started on your goals. So many people lose interest in their goals because they don't know where or how to start so they put it off until it's no longer an interest. I will say you have a tough road ahead of you, but as long as you remain focused you will be fine. I've worked in an OB/GYN clinic and it is a great job that offers plenty of learning experiences. I would strongly suggest you sit down and talk to your school counselor on what steps you need to begin taking. Then go to different colleges and they will give you a typed of list of requirements prior to beginning college. They can also give you a list of all required classes to get you where you need to be. It will be many years of college, but it's well worth it. I wish you the best of luck and patience. Don't let things get in your way and you will do fine. Then you can find us that have offered you advice and buy us a new home with all the money you will be making. Just Kidding! Good luck to you and take care. Remember time goes by fast. Start asking questions NOW!!!
