Hi All,
I posted last week reagrding my condition. I have had a swollen lymph node and tonsil (same side)for almost two months now. I have had a needle biopsy on the lymph node that came up negitive. I had an open (ouch) biopsy on the tonsil wich also came up negitive. Now my doctor is telling me that these are non primary and that I more then likely have cancer somewhere elese in my body. Anyone ever had this? They will be removing the lump in my lymph node surgically next Thursday.

That doesn't make sense. If your biopsies are negative then they cannot be "non primaries" (secondaries) of cancer.
Secondaries are derived from what is primary or original, and if *that* is cancer the biopsy would have indicated that as well.
Don't panic. It's probably benign (non cancerous) and all will be well.

hi,
my mom has been sick for a long time with many different deseises and she had swolen lymph nodes. The doctor told her it could be 1 of 3 things.
1) sarquoidosis: a disease that may damage your organs
2)cancer
3) an insect bite such as a misqueto bite with west nile virus.

the doctor told my mom that he could fix any of these so dont worry. Also if your doctor isnt helping try to go to a different doctor. i hope this helps
