Hi guys just thought I'd post up a few questions here in hope that someone might have some answers for me.
T start off I work for a computer technical support company and my job is to basically solves peoples problems over the phone. Just over a month ago I was on the phone during a power outage and when the power to the building came back on there was a loud screatch in the phone, It was at 4:30am so there was only me an another guy at work and i was the only one on the phone but the person working with me who was 10 feet away turned to me right away and asked what the hell that noise was.
Well to get to the point since that day Ive been to 4-5 docters and 2 specialist and have gotten the same responce from all of them. They all told me that after the tests they have taken that there is no damage to my ear drums and nothing can be done about this problem. Well what im asking has anyone else had similar problem and had the same result of docters just telling you that only time will tell and that nothing can be done. I know that there is no cure for tinitus but the pressure in my ears is unbearable. All that I have gotten from the docters is sleeping pills as they say the more tierd you are the more it will aggravate you. So if anyone knows a way to either get rid of some pressure in my ears or even maybe something to help out with the ringing it would be really appreciated. Im willing to try practially anything at this point
Thanks alot in advance

Unfortunately I don't know how your problem can be helped for good. Probably it is indeed a question of time...
Meanwhile, a way to get some relieve might be to relax and listen to ocean sounds.
No ocean right outside your door? ;) In that case you can buy a CD with soft ocean sounds.
I know for sure this has brought relieve to many people with tinnitus...
Still, as far as I know it is very individual how it feels, so you'll have to find out for yourself...
I wish you all the best!

Do you have allergies? If my ears are very congested it can cause that pressure and pain as well as sinus congestion. I often get relief by taking an antihistamine or decongestant along with a topical rub that has eucalyptus, camphor and menthol-applied minimally (at first) across the collarbone area. I prefer trying a natural remedy to see if that will do and if not, I step up therapy. Ear pressure can result from eustacian tube dysfunction. If the congestion results in post nasal drip, I gargle with warm salt water, if heavy, an antisceptic mouthwash. Take Care, :bouncing:
