I'm so angry and sad at the same time.I'm 23 and no career,no set goal, nothing.I recently moved with my boyfriend to Washington,DC cause he just became partners with a company. And i had to leave my job.Nothing special but i loved it.I worked in Litigation Support such as data entry, imaging,qc.I sent out so many resumes, even went to a staffing firm and i don't hear anything from anyone.I make calls everyday,i'm desperate for a job.I thought i would find a job in DC easy.I hate waking up to nothing in the morning,i'm getting depressed and not proud of myself. Please any adivce is welcome

Jenna,
Cheer up a little, I know it can be hard. What I would do if I were in your situation, I would go get a job at store like Comp USA, Office MAX, Office Depot, Circuit City, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc..... What I'm saying is go get a job just to bring in some income but continue to look for a job in the field you have expertise. Don't ever give up on looking and if you do find another job at least you'll feel like your contributing.
Good Luck

I think CraigB's advice is good. You need to find something to do with your time, or you will keep thinking about this and may get more depressed. Maybe you could even volunteer somewhere while you job-hunt (depending on your financial situation of course). This would make you feel better about yourself.
It is very difficult to find a job right now, and you are certainly not alone. I have a friend who is going to school and has put in over 30 applications just trying to find a part time job to pay her rent. Most likely it's not you, it's the current situation of our economy.
Just keep looking and try to stay positive. It will work out, it may just take awhile to find something you really like. I wish you the best of luck. Hold your head up and take care.
