A baby with a cleft will require surgery from new born through adolesence and maybe even adulthood. This are of plastic surgery is advancing every year. It would be great to have a place to post the latest advances in corrective surgery.
Also the day-to-day challenges: how to nurse a baby with a cleft, how to care for a cleft post-operation, what alternatives are available, how do you explain to siblings and friends what a cleft is.
