Would like to hear from others who have undergone any type of reattachment of severed tendons in the hand/wrist and what the outcome has been or how you are progressing with treatment.
My brothers left wrist was injured in a work related accident (Early June 2001)in which an overhead 8ft flourescent light fell thru the "cage" of his forklift, falling onto his wrist and cutting thru the tendons.
Surgery was not done for 10 days after this as they had to wait for work comp approval!! Needless to say the recovery process has been plagued with all kinds of setbacks from infection in the bone to extreme swelling, redness and intense pain. Home antibiotic infusion therapy and it looks like the surgeon he has now (who is a godsend) will perform another to correct the problems from the first operation.
