Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy .... Now here is a subject that would probably create a lot of controversy! I have such problems with my ex concerning my youngest daughter. I only hope and pray that someday this stops, and my daughter is either removed from her mothers home (I hope to accomplish this someday), or the attention "mom" thrives for isn't as important to her as it has always been.

Hi "dad" again today (see "beauty board"). I had no idea that there was a name for this. I know exactly what you are talking about. I dated a guy who's ex-wife treated his daughter like this (it was the woman's second marriage and only child by him, but had two others from previous marriage.) It was really sad. And the worse part was that there was nothing that he could do about it. It falls under the term "hear say" in court rooms which only makes it worse. He too wanted custody of his daugher so she wouldn't be mistreated by the ex. but the laws in this state really suck. So you are most definitely not alone in your plight. I for one think that all men accross this country should start fighting more to gain custody of their children when they know in their hearts that the mom is not "a mom". Only then can laws be changed.
