Last Friday I woke up with really itchy armpits. When I finally got out of bed, I realized that I itched all over and, in the places where I scratched, big red welts rose up on my skin. I also red patches, not raised, large and small and some streaks. [No blisters, flaking or oozing.] The itching is less when I take a Benadryl but doesn't go away completely. In fact, if I don't take a Benadryl the itching drives me nuts. What is it! It's not better and not worse than last week. My diet is the same (although more sugar than usual). I have a new detergent which is hypoallergenic, fragrance free, no dies, etc. But, maybe it is causing a reaction? I have a new gym too, but I haven't used their soap since last week. Anyone?

Wallace are you on any medicines or antibiotics? On Christmas Eve I woke up with swollen fingers and welts on my arms and legs. I had been on a sulpha antibiotic for a while and it cause a reaction. Sometimes if you take a medicine for a long time it can cause an allergic reaction all of the sudden. If you're on anything I would stop taking it and ask your doctor.
