Hi Ivy- I searched this board for any previous posts you might have made but only found a few. ( you were being supportive and encouraging to others.)
We don't really know YOUR story, but I'm a great believer in therapy, no matter what "label" (dx) is given you.
Unhappy is unhappy. Anxious is anxious. Depressed is depressed. The word bi-polar didn't even exist when I was your age! It's a relatively new definition in the psychiatric world, and I'm sure it has been introduced into the lexicon because it is a distinct and separate entity from many others that cause anxiety, depression, and behaviors that prevent us from having satisfying relationships and a sense of contentment in our lives. I didn't mean to make it sound simplistic. It's not. But I certainly wouldn't worry what the dx is; just continue therapy, work closely with your therapist, know that you are doing something very healthy for yourself ,(and try to enjoy one of the few times we get to talk all about ourSELVES for a change!)
best,
zuzu xxx

hiya ivy
i haven't been about much recently and i kinda miss whats going on but i just wanted to offer you my support in this as BPD isn't a very nice label to be stuck with but im not even sure that anyone should be stuck with it as half the population could meet the criterier (sp) for this http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
but dont let anyone ever put you in a box ivy you are an amazing person with a great personality you are worth so much more http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/heart.gif
