How new is this home? Is there new carpet, paint, remodeling done? I have Multiple Chemicle Sensitivity, an illness brought on my home renovation. Many people don't know it exists, but here are the symptoms. The main cause of it is a new home or renovating a home. Extreme fatique, nausia, ringing in the ears, extreme sensitivity to odors that other people cannot even smell, dizziness, nasal swelling, muscle aches, trouble breathing etc. And yes, it can cause seizures. The person only feels better when out of the offending place. I was sick for an entire year and had to quit my job because the doctor could not find out what was wrong with me. It was only after my own pouring through books that I found out what I had and how many doctors don't recognize it. The only cure for it is to make sure you stay away from certain things that make you sick. This may not be it, but I would not want to guess, I would look it up if I were you on the internet, there is a site, the short term for it is MCS. BTW, my doc also put me on meds., thought I had a virus, they helped slightly, only by taking the swelling down in my sinuses, and in turn gave me a horrible bladder infection. This MCS is not considered an allergy, but an illness brought on by the fumes from carpets, glues, drywall, paints, etc. There are many families out there that have had this happen to them once renovating their home or moving into a new one, in turn, having to tear it all out or move again. Has your daughter had any other symptoms? Please let me know how she is doing. What type of med. did they put her on? Also, there are numerous books at the library on environmental illness, examples of titles are, { Is your home safe? } etc. Please check them out.
