Fighter 11-03-2003, 04:28 PM Is there anyone out there that experiences "visual snow" that can describe it to me and might have any idea what causes it?....thankyou in advance . Fighter zavey 11-04-2003, 01:48 AM i do. it's part of the visual aura which accompanies my migraines. are you a migraine sufferer? some people get the "aura" without the migraines. i get several visual disturbances, there are two that might describe what you call "white snow." one is seeing a field of white dots, sometimes flashing lights, which normally occurs during my migraine aura. sometimes they are like "floaters" or "tadpoles" and are sort of swimming around (sometimes white dots, sometimes black, sometimes both.) the other is that i constantly see a field of white dots in my vision, more noticeable when i look at lighter colors. it never goes away. i've seen a neuro-opthalmologist for this and he told me that migraine sufferers are prone to see white blood cells in their vision. it's... annoying and he said it should go away, but it's been over a year now and it still hasn't. hry33 11-04-2003, 01:06 PM stress or anxiety can also cause blurred vision or other vision problems Fighter 11-04-2003, 07:43 PM very interesting.....I dont suffer from migraines but it sounds like that's exactly what I see.. I do however suffer from stress and anxiety.. I thought I was losing it...thanks for your replies.....anyone else out there? Fighter zavey 11-04-2003, 09:34 PM if you suffer from depression and stress, your environment can look abnormal during a dissociative episode. i also experience these.... the derealization and depersonalization aspects of it. things can appear blurry or out or proportion and your senses are heightened, etc. Mission_Void 11-04-2003, 09:43 PM This might sound weird, but if I'm drying off my car (after washing) out in the sun or on a bright day I tend to see black and white spots. My car is white, that could be part of the reason. Like it's a trip or something. I don't know why this happens. Maybe it's causing a lapse in your vision. Like if you're looking into a bright light and then turn away from it you are temperarily blinded, or your vision is altered. You can see spots for a while caused by bright objects. Not sure if this relates to what you are seeing. Trick photography! MV Fighter 11-07-2003, 02:45 PM Thanks all for the thoughts and insight. I know what you mean about the black and white spots mission void. It all sounds very similar. I also know what you mean about the DP/DR type things. thanks again for your help. wish you all well.
