Hey, I thought I had a UTI, but I've been tested and all the results came back negative. I am thinking that I might possibly have an STD because I dont know what else it would be. My symptoms are not very serious, but they are as follows..... vaginal itching (sometimes), vaginal dryness, Vaginal irritation (during sex), and also this is hard to explain, but a lot of times when I urinate and THINK that I am done, I stand up and then it sort of hurts like I still have to pee. So, I get back on the toilet and try to pee again, but only a few drops come out and it burns. MY boyfriend also experiences the urinating problem once in a while...can anyone help?

i just got diagnosed w/ acute cervicitis and they told me that i probably got it from an std, so i read about stds and your symptoms seem kind of consistent w/ chlamydia. i copy and pasted this from some site i found. hope this helps.

FREQUENT SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS

Sometimes no symptoms during early stages in both men and women. As many as 10 percent of the men and 70 percent of the women who have chlamydia experience no symptoms at all.

In postpubertal women, it can cause an off-white vaginal discharge and odor which comes from the infected cervix.

Pain when urinating and a watery mucous urethral discharge (males).

Painful Intercourse.

Anal swelling, pain or discharge.

Reddening of the vagina or tip of the penis (males).

Abdominal pain.

Fever.

Discomfort, difficulty and/or pain on urinating.

Genital discomfort, itching or pain around the inflamed area.

You should see your doctor again, and make sure you tell her all of your symptoms, and do tell her that you are sexually active. Since you are sexually active now, you should get STD testing done anyway, even if you didn't have symptoms. Good luck. :)

Hi. I just thought I'd respond to this because it sounds somewhat like what a friend of mine had...I also copied and pasted this from a site, read on...
Trichomoniasis
Many women do have signs or symptoms of infection. In these women, trichomoniasis causes a vaginal discharge with a strong odor. The infection may also cause discomfort during intercourse and urination. Irritation and itching of the female genital area and, in rare cases, lower abdominal pain can also occur.
I'm not sure if that sounds like it, but she also thought she had UTI until she had it checked out and found out it was something else. Her boyfriend didn't have any symptoms, but he got checked out also and he obviously had it too. It says most men don't have symptoms, but when they do have them the most common ones are pain while urinating and a discharge also.
Hope this helps, please get it checked out
