kade's mom,
My son had mucusy blood in his stool from 2 to 4 months old. I was breast feeding and finally figured out that the milk i was drinking was the culprit. the doctor told me the same thing though when i expressed my concern. that he would grow out of it. i agree with you, if it has gone on for this long. have you gotten a second opinion from another gastroenterologist? sorry i can't give any advise..

My daughter has a milk protein allergy (was diagnosed after 2 hospital stays). She could not tolerate many of the formulas (including Nutramigen). She is now on Neocate and has no bloody stools or adverse reactions at all. It is VERY expensive, but it is worth it to have a healthy, happy baby.
