Hi, I'm a little new here and haven't really read everything yet.

My problems started in May, really gassy and finally diarrhea. They checked my stools, put me on a liquid diet for a little while, gave me an anti-biotic anyway, then I had a upper gi, ct scan, colonoscopy and today the other upper with the scope and checked my kidneys once and did a blood test for something.

Anyway, here I am, a lot better but not 100%. I think the last time I felt really bad was the end of August. But I had pharyngitis.

I had it with the pains and stuff and just decided, what if it's my birth control? Quit taking it and haven't had it since, although it might be a coincidence, since I've had some gassy problems but not near as bad as it all was.

I don't really know yet what it is but they're saying IBS. They did find 2 ulcers during my colonoscopy.

Sometimes when I eat I feel as big as a house, sometimes just gassy and sometimes just bad diarrhea. I gave up on milk and stuff, not as bad now. I'm just not sure.

I see keeping a food diary will help, do things like immodium and stuff help? Do you guys get nausea? What do you take?

So far my dr. hasn't given me anything to take. I have a hard time believing IBS, my aunt had colitis but they say that's not it.

Ideas will help, etc., thanks.

Also, what is good for gas? What can I avoid? What medicine can I take? And can ulcers cause problems with diarrhe?

Hello Dimaki, I feel your pain. A super good gas medicine that I use is called Gas-x. It's generic name is Simethacone. It works wonders on the stomach aches I get. I hope this helps you. Also, it comes in all forms, gel pills, chewables or liquid.
