Hello! I hope you don't mind if I join you! My name is Nicole and I'm 25. I'm currently ttc#2 after having my beautiful daughter, Olivia, 12/01. I just started Prometrium a few days ago to regulate my cycle. I was not regular before Olivia and have only had one period since she was born. Granted I nursed for a long time, but still. lol My charts show the same pattern now as they did before Olivia so my doctor decided this would probalby be the best route for me. Is anyone else on it?
It's been difficult accepting that I'm having fertility problems. I just read the venting post a little while ago and could totally relate. I'm frustrated as hell at one of my dearest friends right now. We've both been ttc and she is now due at the end of June. She made 3 typical, insensitive comments in a row. Thankfully, we're close enough that I called her on them. She didn't even realize it would hurt like that.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and some BFP's in our futures!!!

Hi Nicole,
Are you going to be doing anything else besides prometrium? It's such a tough situation to be in. I'm 36 and just about to start my first IVF cycle. I am worried that my eggs are not good enough and that I might be too suppressed in this cycle. Oh well - always something to worry about with infertility!

Hi! I just finished my first round of Prometrium Saturday. I took it for ten days to bring on AF. I had been on 100mg of Clomid, had a good follicle(or so I thought), had the HGC shot to release the egg, but never ovulated. So, my RE put me on prometrium. AF hasn't come yet, but apparently it can take 7 to 10 days after you take it to come. I'm supposed to start FSH injections on day 5 of my cycle since it doesn't look like I'm responding to the Clomid. I hope that works for me. I've had "cycle" problems my whole life, (NEVER had AF without medication) so I knew it was going to be tough to get pg. I'm 34 and after 3 years of marriage, we've decided to give it a shot. We've been trying since March. I hope things go well for you!! Welcome to the board. I'm pretty new here too. Take care and hope to hear from you soon!

Thanks! We've been trying for a long time and I finally admitted that we were going to need some help in May.
Are you going to be doing IVF or IUI? I can't wait to start the injections again (3 previous IUI's w/ gonal f) - and get the process moving! Strange to say though isn't it? I'm excited to stick myself morning and night for three weeks! between the injections and the b/w, I felt like a pin cushion on previous cycles. hopefully it's worth it in the end!

Thanks for the welcome! We are starting with just the Prometrium to regulate me first. My dotcor is optimistic that this could be all it takes to get my pg. We'll do just the Prometrium for 6 months before adding something else. Hopefully it doesn't take that long, but I'm learning that nothing is certain in the world of pregnancy, you know?

My RE hasn't said anything about IUI yet. IVF is going to be way too expensive for us, so I'm hoping we don't have to get to that point. My DH was checked out, and all looks good there. I guess my RE thinks that with the right follicles, we can get pg the "normal" way...if that's what you want to call it! I've never done the shots, so it will be interesting! I'm just waiting for AF to come so I can get started! I hate the waiting! Good luck to all of us!!
