I have a really hard time saying no, when I should. I have a best friend that kinda makes me feel a bit bad when I tell her no. What do you recommend?

practice some more...I used to have the hardest time telling anyone no also...I found that i was starting to really dislike that about myself but i didnt know how to change it .I went to the library and read up on it! W/out revealing all of your business to the librarian just ask about finding books on self esteem..Then take a minute and look around ..... I guarantee you that you will find something to relate to in there..Sorry its been a while since i read these books and i read sooooo much,LOL.I dont remember the name of it.For now just remind yourself daily, hourly whatever it takes that you are important also..How you feel matters..Your opinions matter...you are what you surround yourself with...Fill yourself with positive and good thoughts and have good feelings about you!!Dont be mad at yourself if you slip back into old behavior..It didnt happen overnight.I..it wont change overnight..Practice...practice..If i could change this around..You can too..I was a big ole doormatt for the longest!!!!! I have learned you dont have to give quick responses/Pause and act as if your mentally checkin for time.in your day to do what is asked of you .Then just keep it simple..i'll get back to you works for me...at first i then stressed about having to address whatever issue at the time again later in the day but in the long run i have learned to buy time so i dont do what i used to do..give in do something i really didnt want to and be mad at myself...You can stop the cycle!!! Let us know how your doing as you venture on this journey of self discovery!!!!
