Hello,
I have a 14 year old daughter with CFIDS. Glanular fever is the same thing as mono. This year she is in full time school. It is difficult for her and she misses alot of school. But she is able to do it and I think it is great for her to be with her friends. Last year she could only manage part time school. She also put on weight and it is very common with CFIDS. It really bothers her but she has been able to maintain her present weight without gaining anymore. She eats musch better now. It is important to drink lots of water. It makes her feel better and helps with the weight. She drinks about 10 glasses of water a day. She also gets dizzy. She does not have headaches but has some other symptoms. She had alot of bloating. We do many alternative treatments like acupuncture and supplements. This has helped. Hang in there and try to keep a positive attitude. Don't let yourself become this illness you are still the same person as before. She tries to go out with friends even if it is for only 1 or 2 hours. How long have you been sick? My daughter has been sick for 10 months. She does have a good chance of a complete recovery in 1 - 2 years. Hang in there. There is also a web site for kids with CFIDS. Put in pediatric netwirk cfids in a seach engine. I think it owuld be a great help to you. Take care.
