Does anyone know whether this Beta Mannin stuff is legit and where it can be purchased?

I think you will find all of the details you need on the post about natural treatment options. If not, do a search. I believe it is sold on the web.

I've read the post and searched the web - NOTHING :(

Did you try both of the spellings mentioned in the post?

You might also search this site. There was another post about LEEPs that lead to the discussion of Beta Mannan. It may tell more about where to get it. Otherwise, I'm sure the other girls will be here to answer later. But, then it will be the weekend and shipping will be slower!

Just so you know, not only do you take the pills orally, you also insert them as close to your cervix as you can get, every single night for the 3 month period. It makes a really sticky discharge.

Buy some liners, and don't expect too much oral sex :D .

Just bumping this to keep it on page 1.

You have to insert them too ?!?!?!?!

That almost makes sense. My doctor told me that the immune response to HPV can be delayed because it lives in the outer edges of the cervix and the blood flow isn't as high there. Getting the stuff into your system orally won't get there as fast as sticking it right where you want it.

Doesn't sound like much fun.

EEEWWW!!! Well, if it works, whatever!

I have looked over that website too and I'll admit I was skeptical but I've actually met someone who has been taking the supplements and it has worked for her! Actually it is someone I've known for over 20 years! I'm calling her today to find out the details. I really want to try this product.

Obviously, there's no cure, but does this product suppress it - enough to where it might not be contagious?

The product helps your cervical tissue return to normal, but I seriously doubt it will get the hpv virus out of your system.

As for inserting, really you should not be freaked out by it. It's a minor inconvenience compared to the stress and fear of getting cancer. It's a good learning experience if you've never put your fingers way "up there" before. You're supposed to put the capsules in up to your second knuckle.

:D

Oh, What Fun!

Your second knuckle? Isn't that only about two inches? I have felt my cervix - bu tno tin a long time because of my bleeding. Isn't it about four inches away? I can only feel it when I push in further than my finger wants to go, if that makes sense. Not just in but pushed in a little. Maybe that is because my uterus is retroverted.

Panik, I understand exactly what you describe about reaching farther. Yup, the instructions say to the second knuckle. I think the important key is to get the capsules in far enough to stay put and dissolve. Putting them right "on" the cervix is not necessary, the contents of the capsules will dissipate to the surrounding tissue. It also instructs you to only do this at bedtime, which makes sense. That way it will stay in until completely absorbed as much as it is supposed to. Teh discharge arrives in the morning, pretty soon after getting up, but it's no more startling than that first hint of your period. It's not like a big gush, more like a "hello, time to think about using the toilet in the next few minutes". BTW, it has no noticable odor (YAY). Sorry if that's TMI for anyone...

Do you think that Beta Mannin would also help vulvar dysplasia?

Has anyone heard anything about Beta Manna being FDA approved? I look at Joe Glickman's web site and his beta-mannan is not fda approved, but is there some that is somewhere else? I am pretty interested in this treatment but I wish it was FDA approved. I dont want there to be any long-term side effects. Any info would help.

I started using Betamannan for my severe cervical dysplasia about 4 months ago. I was told that it would probably take me longer to get rid of my dysplasia than 90 days as the guarantee states. I tried it for the 90 days and had a repap. STILL high grade! I called Alotek, where I bought the 3 months supply from and they offered another 3 months supply for free OR a full refund. I took the free 3 month supply.

I had my LEEP done this past Wednesday and the doctor made a small comment about the smallness of the abnormal area. So we'll see what the outcome will be. I will continue to take the Betamannan as a vitamin for followup.

Any questions, feel free to contact me.

Lisa
