Has anyone ever tried ovulex? [<<<>>>]
I am about to buy it and was wondering if anyone had sucess using it.
I have PCOS and have under went FSH treatments, that have failed. Due to cost I have been searching dramatically for another treatment and found this product. I see alot of new names here. Its been a while since I've logged on. I wish lots of luck to everyone! Let me know if you know anything about this pill. Thanks

My wife purchased this product and she was pregnant within about 6 weeks. I had a low sperm count and had just started taking chlomid but I only took the chlomid for about 3 weeks before she was pregnant so I doubt that actually had any effect.

I was a huge skeptic and the only reason I let her buy it was because it has a money back guarantee if you don't get pregnant. My motility on the swimmers was very low so they didnt expect us to get pregnant naturally. We narrowed the reason for our pregnancy down to 3 factors:

1) me taking chlomid (doubtful since it would take 90 days to have an effect)
2) Ovulex
3) I had a loss of about 20 lbs

hello I am a newbie on here, I have just started using ovulex and have already seen a change in my cervical fluid. Which I know means i'm ovulating. When is day that you will have no chances of becoming pregnant after you notice the fluid? Thanks for your time. Arlene

How long have you been using Ovulex? I am considering taking it. I previously was taking Fertility Blend for Women and had no luck TTC. I have done some research on OVULEX, however i would prefer to hear all of your success or not success using this product versus going to the Ovulex site and reading what is posted on there. How long is it recommended to take Ovulex? Do you take it daily like a vitamin?

I have been using ovulex for about one month, I noticed a difference in my cervical fluid within the first 2 weeks. I am also using false unicorn root as well. I will update with any changes! :bouncing: As always I am always in prayer for the Lord's guidance. God Blesse You all.

I just went to a website to learn more about it and I have to say that I am intrigued. DH and I have been ttc for 2+ years and right now we are waiting for the lupron to get out of my system (to get back to regular AF's) - was on lupron for 3 months to help with endo. Our next step is to go to clomid. But this ovulex sounds helpful.....

I'm curious - I see that many of you have posted here - but who has actually used the ovulex? Has it worked for you? Have any of you checked with your doctor first to see if you should be taking it? If so, what did your doctor say about it?

Your advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I began taking Ovulex last month on CD1, and AF did not show for February. The only reason I have not tested is because I know I have PCOS, and I don't want to see another BFN.

But I was wondering if anyone has heard of having longer cycles with Ovulex, or could this really be it? I thought AF was coming on time, had the cramping and backaches, no sore boobs, maybe a twinge here or there, but that's all. I even broke out on my face on schedule with the pimples and all. CM was very heavy this month also.

Any insight would be helpful, I know I should test, but I kind of just want to wait this month out to see if she shows in March and how I feel also. I am just so tired of the disappointing one lined stick...

Thanks

:bouncing: I just wanted everyone to know that I used Ovulex for 3 weeks and am expecting 11/2/05!! It worked. I had no side effects, in fact i felt wonderful!
We had been trying to get pregnant since Dec 2003. I tried one round of clomid before I read that after 3 times it cause cervical cancer. So I tried Ovulex, it was well worth it. And I just wanted everyone to know!

hills0917,

Congrats to you!!

What symptoms did you have when you first found out? I have already skipped AF for February, and I'm just curious how you felt while on Ovulex. I noticed tons of CM and now I'm so late, but so scared to test and get a BFN.

I really thought AF was coming, had cramping etc, but no show. Do you think it could make your cylce longer?

Hi, My husband and I have been trying to fall pregnant for around 3 years now. I have endometriosis and I guess thatīs why we havenīt had any luck so far. We have tried just about everything except IVF, but I really wanted to try something natural first; so I have placed an order in for Ovulex and hope to fall pregnant during the first 3 months. I did study up on it quite a bit and it all seems really good and almost too good to be true when you think about how long we have been waiting. There are many wonderful stories of women taking Ovulex and falling pregnant, but I guess I will just have to wait and see and Iīm sure Iīll get back to you all to give some great news soon.
I really hope the best for you all. God bless,

Hi All,

Just an FYI I did finally test and got a BFN, but I'm not giving up hope, I had stopped taking Ovulex for a couple of weeks, but will resume it now to try to naturally get AF to come. I have read lots of people who have become regular using it. So for me that will be the first step, after that everything else will fall into place. I have searched high and low on the net finding information and stories, and I have high hopes of this working for me.

Please keep me posted and I will do the same.

Good luck to you all!

To those of you trying the ovulex - I'm curious - did any of you talk to your doctor before trying it? If so, what did the doc say regarding this stuff? I'm considering ordering it, but first want to talk to my doc to see what he has to say... but in the mean time, I'm wondering what your doc's have said....

Take care -- Smiles & hugs... Jen

I tested on 3/3 got a BFN. Then this weekend, I thought AF had showed up, bright red, but it only lasted less than a day. Now, there is nothing! Anybody have any insight to this? I started taking Ovulex again the day I tested.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

My cousins recently gave me an empty bottle of Ovulex so I could order some for myself. My husband and I have been trying for 19 months now and according to the doctors, the only thing wrong was a small amount of endometriosis. I am hesitant to try Ovulex because I was researching herbal remedies and they are a known cause of miscarriages. I would hate to actually get pregnant only to lose it because of the way it happened in the first place.

[REMOVED]
"During pregnancy there are some herbs which should not be used at all and several others that may be used very carefully. Most herbs are totally safe when used in moderation and with wisdom. Herbs to avoid are rue and pennyroyal. Both of these herbs can cause miscarriages and many other severe complications of pregnancy. Herbs that need to be used with caution include black cohosh, blessed thistle, blue cohosh, cramp bark, damiana, dong quai, false unicorn, ginseng, licorice (ALL IN BOLD ARE FOUND IN OVULEX), sarsparilla, saw palmetto, squaw vine and yarrow. These herbs all contain steroid-like constituents which could possibly affect the secondary sex characteristics of the baby."

I pray that these affects are extremely rare but I think before anyone puts Ovulex into their bodies they should really research it. Hopefully I am wrong - believe me I would love to find some miracle that could help me start a family. I am praying for all of you too!!!

I am hesitant as well to order and take the ovulex. As much as I would like to think that there is a "miracle" out there that can help me and dh conceive, I don't know that ovulex is truely it. I will be asking my doc about ovulex at our next appt. I am like you, Jillin, in that I have mild endo - and that is all that has been found. I have been ttc for 2 years or more now.... good luck to you

Hi Jen, I just found this website today and you are the first person I am talking to. I am sorry you and your husband are going through so much and trust me... I understand! Its nice to finally talk to someone who is in a similar situation. I didn't even tell my family that there was anything wrong until I had my lap. surgery. We had been trying for over a year at that time but I just didn't want to hear "Give it some time... Stop thinking about it so much... yadda yadda yadda..." I know my family means well but they really don't understand how this can consume you. As for Ovulex, I am going to ask my doctor at my next appt. too but as for now, I am not risking anything. Good luck to you too! Hugs and smiles back at ya! jillian

Jillian,

It's been awhile since I've found someone in about the same place (time-wise) as I am now. What's your background... if you don't mind me asking.

My brief background is: I'm 32, dh is 34 (he has a son from previous marriage). We have been ttc for 2 years. I have gone through the HSG, Endo biopsy, Lap and all the bloodwork. He had the analysis done and found that he has somewhat slower sperm than he should, but nothing more than that. During my lap, doc found endo in the cul-de-sac region - and stated that it was mild. We also did the post-coital test - and that came back good as well. After that we were referred to our current doc (was seeing a Naval Hospital Doc) and I just finished 3 months of lupron shots that I was told would subside the endo. My current doc has always felt that endo needs to be treated in some way before continuing treatment. Dh and I agreed... although I think it was 3 months of just not getting pg.... but none-the-less we have made it through. My only side effect there was hot-flashes and headaches. The headaches I can deal with - the hotflashes -- WOW. I wouldn't want them again! Once the lupron is out of my system, and AF returns, I head back in to see the doc. From there, I was told that we will go to 3 months (maybe 4) of clomid. After that we talked about going to IVF -- but my husband's medical insurnace (Navy) doesn't cover IVF, so I am going to pick up insurance through my work (I'm a teacher), and they DO cover IVF. I was shocked to learn that my insurance does cover it -- but HEY -- I will take it if I can get IVF done for Much less of a charge than paying all of it!
It stinks to be in this postion - to know that we want a baby and so many out there have one and don't care for it the way they should.
Good luck to you -- and keep in touch. Its nice to have this site to stay in touch with those who are in similiar situations.
Smiesl & hugs... Jen

Jen,

My background is very similar. I am 27 and have been married for almost 3 years. We have been ttc for 19 months now and it's really exhausting. I have been through HSG, Endo biopsy, Lap and all the blood work too. During my lap my doctor said he removed all of the endo he could. If there was any microscopic endo left he couldn't tell. After my surgery I was happy when the nurses came out and said I was loaded with endo... (I'm thinking - this was it, this was the reason) only to talk to the doctor a week post-op and find out I was only stage one endo. This may excite some people but it was more of a reason not to be able to conceive when I thought I was loaded. Other than a little endo it says "Unexplained Infertility" all over my charts. Those are the worst words I keep hearing. Before my lap we tried 4 IUI's. The first with clomid but it made my lining too thin so we had to try something else. The thing is my body ovulates and drops the egg normally so I really didn't need the clomid or the ovidrel shots. We just took them to try to produce more eggs and time everything right. Still nothing. I have not had the lupron shots (are they painful?). IVF is an option for us but my husband and I are self-employed and our insurance doesn't cover it. You are very lucky!!! I feel so consumed by all of this, my sister just had her second child 5 weeks ago and I am so happy for her. At the same time I am painfully envious of her. I love my sister (and all of my friends that are just popping them out :) )and I would never begrudge them anything... I just don't understand why I can't have it too. I carry this guilt around because I don't want to feel sorry for myself because other then this bump in our road, life is wonderful, but I can't help it. Thank you for listening, it really does feel good to talk to someone who understands. I will be praying for you and your husband.
Keep in touch,
Jillian

Hi all,
I keep coming to this site in hope to hear good news from someone. Has anyone fallen preg on Ovulex yet? I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and will ask her what she thinks about Ovulex, although I have already ordered it... I guess I just really like the idea that it is all natural. I have mild endom also and hope that these tabs will help. The most difficult thing for me is that I am a 24 year old Australian girl living in Mexico, (married a Mexican) in a town that seems to be at least 10 years behind the 1st world. The way of thinking here is very different here, even my husband sometimes. My husband really wants to do everything that my doctor says and not try anything else until there is nothing the doc can do... I have been to several different docs over the past 3 years and they all do the same thing. I really sick of trying so many drugs and stuff. I will let you all know what my doc says about the tabs.
God bless everyone

I have read on other message boards of some people saying it worked for them. There were some people saying it did not work for them also.

On the other flip side, I read one of the boards that the manufacturer of the product, Selmedica Healthcare, has a very bad report from the Better Business Bureau. Which is true becuase I check the BBB report. Some of the things that were on the report stated that they give false claims and they don't give refunds when it says on their site they should, ect... If you get a chance, you can look the company name up: Selmedica Healthcare (not ovulex, this is not the name of the company) on the BBB site.

To be fair, this particular company does have many other different product lines other than this product.

Does it work: I have read some claims that says it does on other message boards.

Did it work for everyone that gave their results on the boards: No, for some it did not work.

Will the company give you your money back if it doesn't work: (Based on what I read with some replies and the Better Business Bureau) You will probably have a big problem.

Big question, is it worth trying: It is a personal choice. If I went by what the Better Business Report said, I would say no. But if I went only on what I read on message boards, even though there were some negative reviews along with positive, also realizing that I will probably not get my money back if it didn't work, I would probably try it.

I did read 2 posts of people showing it to their doctors. One said it is okay to use it but there is no proof it will work and one said not to because of something it it can inhibit some chemcial we ladies make (can't quite recall).

Hope that helps!

WOW!!! Hi again... Well, I just got back from the doctors and both good and bad news. I asked her about this Ovulex product and she says that itīs ok and nothing to worry about when taking it if you take it as said. On the bad side I have many more problems than I thought. I will be going through some kind of treatment over the next couple of months but I want to know if you can take Ovulex with anything else... Anyone know?

How is everyone doing with their Ovulex? I see some of you are getting close to being on it for a full cycle. Any luck? I'm getting ready to order it, just need to find some bucks. My hubby and I are looking to it as a last resort. I'll just be happy if it helps me get a regular cycle. Has to be cheaper in the long run than the glucophage :dizzy: .

Did you know there is a 6 month back order for samples? It is a shame you have to wait that long to get a sample. When I found that out I didn't bother sending in for it. They don't mention it on the site, but when you call to inquire, they will tell you. :(

I started taking ovulex and only got through 2.5 weeks when I had to stop because my doctor advised me to take other treatment first. I have lumps on my ovarys and breasts and a couple of other problems, so she wants me to fix that before taking ovulex. She says it will be good to take after my 3 month treatment. I didnīt notice anything different while taking ovulex, but I guess it was too early. I got my period today, so not feeling too great. I have endometriosis so the pains are strong.

I see no one has posted here for a while - a shame, since I'm curious how this worked for everyone else. However, I did want to point out that this statement was wrong. Men *can* take Clomid - it is prescribed in countries outside the United States, but does help with something to do with the male reproductive system. As far as the Ovulex, he said that he had decided that one of those three things, including the Ovulex his *wife* was taking, was the reason they had a successful pregnancy.

Anyone have any success on their Ovulex?

Jessica
