Has anyone tried this? My mom just bought it for me today. It is an herbal supplement that contains 12 different herbs- Pueraria Root, Angelica Root, Peony Root, Magnolia Flower, Platycodon Root, Coix Seed, Ginger Root, Perillia Leaf, Siler Root, Scutellaria Root, Cinnamon Bark and Licorice Root.
It is supposed to help clear sinus congestion, sinus, ear pressure and pain along with reducing swelling in the ear and sinuses. My sinuses are all messed up so I thought I would give it a try.
If anyone else has used this with good results, please let me know.
Thanks

Is this condition re-occuring? or just occasional.
If it is chronic it could be due to food allerigies, (particularly dairy products).
Exposure to irritant fumes, or simple hay fever.
I have never heard of the product you mentioned, but this should help.
Quericitin with Bromelain-
This combination increases immunity to allergens.
Three firms make a specific nutrient combo for natural decongestant action
Nature's Way---"Fenu-Thyme"
Terra Max---"PSI"
Enzymatic Therapy---"Sinus Check"
Also Acidophilus if you have been taking antibiotics.

Hi Chrislynn,
I haven't wrote you in awhile so I thought I would tell you my thoughts.
I am not a big fan of herbal remedies because each may come from a different part of the plant and produce different results. And, particularly when you combine 12 different herbs. It's sorta like the root of vegatables have a much different nutritional value than the tops-- beets and beet greens, turnips and turnip greens are just 2 that come to mind.
There is basically no regulation in this field of Alternative Medicine. I know it has a place when used by an Herblist that is trained and really knows what they are doing and I have seen some results that have been amazing.
If you use this mixture of herbs with some degree of success then when you need it in the future the results may not be repeatable or consistant with the last batch of 12 because the herbs may have been grown in a different part of the country or world.
You should have tried the Homeopathic remedies I suggested months ago???

"I am not a big fan of herbal remedies because each may come from a different part of the plant and produce different results."
---- Yes this true, but we always use the same parts of the plant that we found beneficial.

---- With most herbal companies, I would say this is a true statement. But there are a few companies that have been putting out herbs since the early 1970s that make it a point to test all the herbs they buy to ensure that they are always the best quality. So that you can count on each and every batch to be the same results. And yes, I think most people would be shock at the amount of herbs that come into this country from some other foreign country.

What harry says is true... plus you always have to be careful taking herbs on you own, you could have allergies... they are like the organic version of pharmacuticals..... See a Nauropath... most insurances cover that... Did you know you can return things to health food stores (at least most of them) they want your business in the future... they write it off...
Take care, and at least do the research on these herbs

I don't think you should discourage Chrislynn from trying herbs. I agree with you that the result from many herbs will vary. However, if standardized herbs are used, the result is as predictable as your homeopathic remedies. One thing I would say about the herbs Chrislynn is asking about is they might be synergistic in combination, but no single herb in the capsule is there in enough qunatity to do much. I take several herbs, but take multiple capsule, each of which contain a single herb. It would also be my thought that a capsule containing so many herbs cannot be gauranteed to contain the same amount of each herb in every capsule. That is totally dependent on how well the manufacturer mixes the herbs.

It is not the same. I take capsules of individual herbs, most of which are standardized. I get the same amount of herb everytime I take it. This is not the case with capsules that contain 5 or ten different herbs. As I said, there is no way to be sure the manufacturer mixed the herbs thoroughly.
What I would try, if I had a chronic nasal drip is, the herb White Oak Bark. One of its uses is to help dry things up. It would not hurt to get a bottle of capsules and take as directed to see if it helps.
