I have a bit of a problem involving a guy that I really like. He is so nice and caring, thoughtful he is so different to the guys I normally go for (bad boys!) but the problem is he's my ex boyfriends best mate. When I first met my now ex boyfriend I met his best mate also and was told that they BOTH liked me!! However I chose the wrong one, he treated me badly and he was very pocessive and constantly had to know where I was who I was with etc... we split up after only a week and I am now really attracted to his friend. I think he knows that I like him but he won't admit it to himself (does that make sense??)

My mates have tried talking to him and say that we would make a good couple but he will not have any of it, I think he is worried about what my ex would think but to be honest I don't think he would care at all, from what I have heard he has moved on and has been with several other girls since we split. I just don't know what to do, try to forget about him or keep persuing it?
