I'm a newbie, coming from a similar format of bulletin board in both people who post and the actual driving engine. So, I already feel like I belong here.

I haven't read posts extensively, yet but suspect most people here are determining their allergies, and trying to find a drug to manage symptoms. If I slight anybody with that, here's an apology-- I'm sorry.

Just wondering are there any success stories? Please, share.

Success stories? Yes.

I always recommend someone try aloe vera and water for allergies that affect the nasal system. I was so bad, that I was bleeding from the nose. I was blowing my nose constantly and sneezing all the time. Within a day or so, it cleared up. In about a week, I had very little problems.

I often suggest that someone check into that. If anyone wants details, I'd be glad to supply it again. A number of my co-workers and neighbors had success with it too. The summer weeds that grew wild around us seemed to be the culprit.

Start with whatever seems least invasive. If it works for you, great.

Allergy shots worked for me.

Yup, I'm a good 95% better than I was 2.5 years ago. I had a successful polypectomy, septoplasty, and ethmoidectomy. Then allergy meds helped, too (Zyrtec mainly). Trying allergy shots now for about 4 months because I was still getting sinus infections more often than one 'should' (although they were so much easier to deal with than before surgery that I would sometimes not even realize I had one). One thing that gave me another huge push towards getting well was irrigating. Lots of posts on that. Eating well, sleeping well, and drinking rediculous amounts of water have a huge effect. Avoiding allergens, etc http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif Good luck to ya!
