View Full Version : help- new to allergy symptoms... emotional?

Hi all,

I experience what I am quite sure to be allergies and wonder if they effect anyone else emotionally. On a normal allergic day, my head aches and feels like its turning, I can't think straight, I itch everywhere, and my throat gets sore. On flare up days, I may get hives, feel as though I can't even breathe, etc.

What I really want to know is if allergies affect anyone else emotionally. I've noticed that there is a correlation between my emotions of a day and my allergy levels. At my ultimately worst point thus far, I recently had to take a week long trip to a different part of the country. I don't know if it was the change in environment or the food I had to eat (it was not great and i suually have problems when i take trips) but i became so emotionally distraught from no allergy relief (my constantly pounding head, itching) that i was quite literally unable to eat (i lost 11 pounds in a week).

sorry, i'm just looking for ANY suport i can find. If any of my symptoms even sound remotely allergy-ish, please tell me. Also, I forgot to mention that sometimes I feel like someone is stabbing me with a needle repetitively, that is the extent of the itching.

Sorry for being so long.. please help!
