Hi everyone, I was just diagnosised with several food allergies and was wondering if anyone could offer some insight to my yeast allergy. I am a beer drinker and would like to know if all alcohol is the same. Does vodka have yeast? How about ales, lagers or wines? Thanks

I'm no expert but I believe beer, ales and lagers are the only ones that use yeast to ferment. Wine is just juice and liquor is distilled. I have an occassional reaction to certain beers. I'm not sure if they are brewed differently or what. Vodka is potatoes or wheat. Watch out for the sulfites in wine.
