View Full Version : Best Over-the-counter substitute for Allegra-D

I don't have health insurance and Allegra-D is quite expensive. I've been on Allegra-D for about 3 weeks. I have liquid in my middle ear (no infection) due to allergies the doctor said. She said it could take at least 3-4 weeks for my ears to unblock.

I'm considering switching to Chlori-trimeton-D (that's not spelled right) but I'm concerned about the drowsiness factor that I've heard is common with the over-the-counter meds. I'd have to take this every 4 hours because I don't see a time-released version of Chlori-trimeton-D.

Would be interested in your suggestions. Thanks.
