I know this topic sounds kind of funny but its a serious problem. I just recently found out that my "pee-shyness" is a actual social-phobia. There is even a orginazation for poeple like this.

My question is.... Do any other BP's here suffer from "pee-shyness" or its medical term Paruresis. I am convinced this is linked to my BP becuase it started to happen right around the time I was first diagnosed as BP. I hope it has something to do with my BP, I really dont want yet another mental-illness (well phobia, but its close to a illness)

****

THANK YOU for your input.

is that more of a male thing since you guys are really kind of "out there" in the mens rooms?? i think if i had to pee w/out walls, standing up for all the world to witness, i too might have this phobia...better than the flip side, you know, the guys you see peeing by the side of the road, in the bushes on golf courses, etc..lololol....
i'm sure it's frustrating...maybe you could try what i do when in a phobic situation (gyno office for example)...i take 3 deep breaths and put myself on the beaches of south carolina...ot really works.....
gone to carolina in my mind....
