Why don't you try rollerblading? I hear it's good to tone up your butt and legs.

Erin-
I am in the same boat----I recent finished a triathlon and figured it would be great for something like this---well, I only became more solid. Better than flabby I guess, but in general, and as much as I hate to say this- running is the best work out for me in terms compacting my hips, butt and thighs! It is just getting into it that is the hard part.
Good luck and let me know if you find another solution

running, cycling, walking....hamstrings, glutes & quads...to get shape need sideways movements and inside movements...
tae-bo, pilates, inner outer thigh lifts... etc...

If you're heavily muscled, you may just have to live with it. You can't change you base body structure. If it's fat you want to get rid of, the only way is through cardio and diet. Some use machines on their legs overzealously to try and "burn" fat. This doesn't work well and can build up the leg muscles disproportionately.
Remember, fat comes off only through diet and cardio. More muscle mass helps, but it can't do it all alone!
