here's my deal, i'm a skinny girl and lately i've been disgusted with the region of my body dead center just above my butt. the *small* of my back is gross and fat.. that entire little area is where all my body fat seems to go, not even in the stomach so much..just on the backside. sorry, i don't know technical terminology for these sorts of things, but i'm sure you catch my drift.
so here's my question/s... i know there's no such thing as spot reduction, but i dont want to lose weight. as i said i'm already skinny accept for in that region. would doing cardiovascular like stair climbing or something along that line help? or are there any exercises i that would tone it? i suppose i don't want to add muscle along WITH the fat, right? b/c then it would be even bigger. I'm rambling. ANY advice would be appreciated. I'm feeling extremely motivated. thank you.

If you are already skinny then the plain truth may be that this one area on your body may always be your fatty spot. Most people have these zones that are completely resistant to any fat loss regardless of diets and exercise. There are two solutions to that problem. One is liposuction (not my recommendation) and the other one is to learn to love, accept and feel good about your body. Nobody is perfect and even those people you think "look" perfect to you, also have a "problem" or two that they deal with.

i understand the whole concept of loving your body, etc. but it seems w/in the last two years the area has gotten worse and has given my butt an even more pancake-like appearance than before. my body has not always been this way, it's just gotten worse. part of it's genetic, i know, but surely there's some kind of exercise to help tone it up.

hey lunasee: I am in the midst of "toning up" the small of my back. I am lightly jogging uphill and doing some stair exercises. I suggest trying those. So far I've been doing those cardio exercises and I've noticed a great improvement at the small of my back. I hope it works for you! Good luck! :)

oooh, it's GREAT to hear that it's working for you and also know i'm not the only one w/ this concern. i like the whole "uphill" idea so i'm definitely going to try it. Thanks.
