Okay!

I've just cut ALL bad unhealthy food from my diet last week, I go for walks daily (20 minutes to over and hour) and my body is in pretty good shape except for my stomach!

I heard doing situps/crunches is pointless when you have a gut because it just makes your muscles grow below your fat and doesnt really burn it, or something!

I'm 20 and lookin to lose a few inches/pounds off the gut, any suggestions as to what I can do to lose it within 3 weeks to a month? Not lose it completely (not lookin for a 6pack, yet!) but just trim it down! Any good ideas?

Run, run, run. It's the only way to lose that last piece of fat clinging to you.

The only way to lose fat is to build muscle. Muscles burn fat for fuel. As you develop your muscles you increase the efficiency of fat metabolism. Weights, even just 5 pound dumbbells will help... 30 minutes 3 times a week (there are a million sites to help you figure out what kind and how many reps, sets, etc...). As you build muscle and continue to get aerobic exercise (30 minutes 4 times weekly) you will burn fat. The problem is no one knows from where on your body this fat will be used. People accumulate fat and lose fat based on their specific genetic makeup. If you've always had a chubby belly, then it will take longest for that fat to budge. Crunches help in that they are developing muscles, which will help burn fat... You cannot spot reduce, unless you opt for liposuction (which is why it was invented). Good luck! - enjoi
