I have just had skin prick test for a number of things and one thing that came up was a mild reaction to yeast. I was wondering if anyone else has this allergy as I think it is a contributor to my congestion and sinus problems and can't find a good web site dealing with this one.
Thanks http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Do a Google.com search for "+yeast+free+food+ or "yeast+free+recipes"
Remember that yeast in bread is killed during baking as a rule, but usually if a person is allergic to yeast they must avoid yeast breads.

There is a good book out there on sinus problems and yeast allergies, but I don't think I can give you the name here. Go to a good book store and do a search. Good luck.

You may also want to have your feces checked to see if you have different types of yeast in your digestive track, already lurking around.
My doctor had a special box that had to be sent to Great Smoky Mountain Labs or something similar. I went on a yeast free diet (as close a possible. Mainly got rid of carbos and certain sugars) for 6 months, and I had quite a bit of candidas in my system.
The lab even said that the strain of yeast, which is usually easily killed by nystatin, was resistant to it, and so I had to take Diflucan and have blood tests to make sure my liver is okay.
Just thought you may want to touch all the bases after you go on a yeast free diet.

Hi
I've also recently found out I have an intolerance to yeast, and Milk products.
I haven't as yet found any really good websites. Another thing to try is searching for stuff on Candida as it is possible that you may have an overproduction of this type of yeast in your body. A good starting point for this is: www.candidadiet.com. (http://www.candidadiet.com.)
Good luck
