I have been recently reading up on different types of headaches, and unfortunately, I fit into all the categories of different ones. But one thing that really stood out to me... first, my headaches almost always are on one side, they throb, they are worsened with movement and I am noise and light-sensitive. These are point towards migraines. Is it possible that I am having migraines maybe 3-4 times a week? I have had the "aura" that is associated with a classic migraine 4 times in my life. Those headaches seemed to be the worst ever so I just assumed if I was going to have another "migraine", I would have the aura, but maybe I am having them without the aura now. Geez, they both hurt so it's hard to tell. I am so used to having a headache and dealing with it that I think it might be possible that I'm suffering from migraines all the time. Thoughts?

Sure sounds like migraines to me and yes it is possible to have them that frequently. I never have aroua with my migraines. So that is possible. Have you seen a neuro? There are medicines they can prescribe to prevent them from occuring if they are that frequent not to mention the abortive medicines they can give you for once the ha has started.

This sound like migraines to me.I have had them for about 25 years. My sometimes but not always occur with aura.My neurologist put me on 100 mg. per day of zoloft.300 mg. per day of neuronton and 25 mg. of Pamelor. This of cours did not take away my migraines but cut them down extremely.I was getting about 2 or 3 per week now only about 1 a month if that.Explore these medicines with your doctor.Nothing helped me until these were prescribed.I take the neuronton and pamelor both about 2 hours before I go to bed because they will make you sleep very sound and deep.I hope this helps. Contact me if needed. davenport@highstream.net
