Hello, I did something really stupid...I pulled my one gluteous maximus muscle picking something heavy up the wrong way, not while exercising. (I know better than that...I was in too much of a hurry to bend my knees.) How long does it take this muscle to heal, so I can get back into my routines? I'm starting to get grouchy, because of lack of exercise. The only exercising that I have been doing is walking, which makes it feel better. Any other exercises to do with a pulled gluteous? Thank you.

Swimming and upper body training shouldn't hurt.

Maybe jump rope? Doesn't involve stretching the glutes or hams. Or go at the punching bag for 30 minutes. Fun and cathartic. :)
