Does anyone know of any good treatments for food allergies. I have over 30. Antihistimines do nothing.

Have you been tested for food allergies, and know which foods are guilty?

If so, the best thing is to not eat those foods.

If you have not been tested, you probably should be.

Actually, you can strip your diet down to the bare minimum of a safe food. When you have no symptoms form a food allergy then introduce another food and wait for a few weeks to see if it bothers you or not. Keep on doing this until you find the guilty foods. Each time you have a reaction, wait 6 weeks after symptoms leave before trying another food. You will gradually be introducing more and more foods into your diet.

This is a long tedious project but can be done, I did it with our 5 children who were allergic to foods.

I understand your response. I expected it. I am 30 yrs old and have dealt with allergies since i was 9 or 10. I have been tested about 5 times with 5 different doctors.. (each time I moved the previous doctor made me get retested)... I am allergic to many foods. I test positive on skin tests. But besides that I can tell what foods are giving me reactions right away.. my biggest complaint are HIVE and itching. so, I am at a point that I CAN NOT elimate all foods. OR else I would probably get more sick than I am. the only foods I find that i can eat without a reaction are rice, chicken, and some vegetables... so this is what I do.. but now with pollen season I seem to be getting hive anyway... I still take disenetation shots (which I believe DO NOTHING).. and I take allegra daily, and I take vitamins like C and others... still nothing has really seemed to solve the problem... thanks for letting me vent... I have no money to buy a punching bag since I spend it all on doctor bills!
