OK-- need some advice. I caught my wife's cold, so I'm wondering: do I lay off the cardio until I'm better, or do I nut up and try to keep going?? Which is better??
(BTW, I'm flexible on the type of cardio-- I jog, elliptical train, and treadmill walk on alternating days, so if one type is better than another for someone in my condition, let me know.)

If it's really bad, take a break. If it's just annoying, work through it.

If it's just a head cold, do whatever you can do comfortably. If it's in the lungs, skip it. Give yourself some time to get better. Think of it as Forced Recovery time. :) When I'm sick and achy all over, it's the only time I don't even want to be in the gym. Just in case it's an indicator of fatigue, take advantage of some time off. Just adjust your diet to compensate for lack of activity if you take the rest time.

I agree with the above post and also if you are running a fever, take a break.
