hello.. nice forum..

I was diagnosed with ADD fall of 2002.. I am 23 and this discovery explained SO much about my past and WHY I just 'did enough to get by' in school..

anyway.. I started on ritalin LA and that didnt do anything at all.. went to concerta 30mg nothing.. so my doctor todl me to goto a psychiatrist to get help.. She put me on 10mg of adderal and that worked for the first few weeks, then i really didnt feel it.. so she put me on the new XR 20mg.. that worked for about 3hrs and then this feeling of total BLAH came over me.. my voice would get horce and my body just had this disconnected feeling.. Then she went to the 30mg of XR and that worked for about 4hrs and the 'comedown' so to speak wasnt has bad.. voice would still get horce about 6hrs after i took it.. So then we went to a 30mg and a 10mg in the morning.. now this sustains for about 7hrs and the come off period is just so bad.. I get REAL iritable, and my voice is REALLY horce. Now I didnt feel these HORRIBLE side effects the few weeks i took the regular adderal, and im just wondering if anyone else has had this experience with the XR ..

I dont want to tell the doctor that i prefer the regular b/c i think she may think im wanting to abuse it, which isnt the case. I just cant take the body turmoil of the XR..

anyone?
thanks
