Yesterday while sitting down barefooted, I casually placed my right foot on top of my left foot at the point just below the small toe and the three toes next to it. this resulted in a very sharp pain. When i exerted a little downward pressure, the pain became extreme. I have never experienced this before and it was a real surprise when it happened. Since then if i apply pressure to that area, the pain flares up, I have no pain walking running, stretching, bending and moving my ankle etc. just when pressure is applied to the mentioned area.
I am type 2 diabetic and have had some slight neuropathy in the past involving the middle toe and toe next to my little toe on that, the left foot. this resulted in some very slight numbness in those toes. The pain i just experienced is nothing like that although i wonder if it is neuropathy related.
Anyone with any similar pain as this?
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated

My thinking is either Arthritis or a slight stress fracture. See a Podiatrist and they will x-ray it for you. Good luck!
