Can anyone recommend a good diaper to use for a baby boy? Just about every time he pees it goes up his back and soaks through his clothes and soaks what ever he is laying on. I have tried all different brands...huggies, pampers, etc. I also fold his diaper down to the inside like they say to do for a boy. I have this problem every day , I am constantly washing sheets, blankets, everything, sometimes I even have to change his sleeper a couple of times at night because of this.

I had this problem with my son only when he was newborn and we had him on his side or back and he couldn't roll over by himself, so during the night he'd pee and poop and it ran up his back, I learned to ALWAYS use waterproof crib mats so I only had to change him, not his bedding.

Alynnr,
Did you put the waterproof pad on top of the bedding? I'm curious as well because I'm having a boy :D

I have always liked luvs they worked the best for me its been 4 years for me but i always liked the plastic type instead of the cotton type for the boys.

Do you point his pee pee down towards his feet or leave it pointing up???
You should point it down, this keeps the pee from coming out of the top and sides.

 Hello! I use Luvs and they have been the only ones that donot leak and I think are great for a baby boy. I also point his weewee down. Give them a try you will be surprised on the out come ;)

Hello, I'd like to make a third motion for Luvs. My son is out of the diaper stage, but I can remember what it was like and Luvs were the best and the only ones that worked. Huggies never worked for us, even pushing the "pee pee" down as a previous poster suggested. Another helpful hint is to make sure you keep the "pee pee" covered with a second clean diaper or towel when you change your son. My hubby's got it right in the glasses a few times before he finally realized that you have to keep it covered.

I too used Luvs as my son got older, Huggies leaked terrible when he was a newborn (I had lots of them and had to use them though). Like I said, I started putting the waterproof crib mat over his bedding so when he leaked poop up his back I could just change him and not his bedding during the night. They have small ones and larger ones at Wal-Mart and Babies R Us. They were a lifesaver for me, also great to lay on the floor during playtime or if you need to air their hineys out, if they pee, it's not on everything and you can throw it in the wash (the mat). :-)

Horrible experience with huggies. They seem small than the other diapers. Almost always leaked. Was forever changing bedding. Currently use Pamper Swaddlers, had a bunch of coupons but have also used Luvs, which worked just fine too.
