Is it necessary to have bumper pads in a baby's crib? Everytime my baby pees and I have to change his sheets I have to remove them , I even have to take the whole mattress out of the crib just to put the clean sheets on. I find it much easier to just not have the bumper pads. I have also heard that once they begin to roll over you should take them out anyways. What do you all think? bumper pads or not?

I did not put them in my daughters bed at first because I was told they were a safty hazard. The first time that she rolled over and cracked her head on the unprotected bars I put them back on. I felt horrible she had bruised herself. Its a personal choice. Heather W.

If the only problem is the hassle of too frequent bed changing, instead of removing the bumpers, try crib pads or overnight diapers. It's alot easier to change a pad or diaper than the sheets. Just a suggestion.

I took the bumpers out of my daughter's crib when I went to check on her one night and found her with her face burried in one .. she was fine but it scared the liver out of me ..

I was too scared after that to put them back in .. she hasn't minded .. :)
